Designs by KaraMarie began with a love for all things creative. In the summer of 2014, after coming across a photo of a hand-stamped jewelry piece, I knew instantly I wanted to try making one myself. What started as a small hobby—creating pieces for friends and family—quickly grew into something more. As the cold South Dakota winter approached (which I truly despise!), I opened an Etsy shop to stay busy during the frigid months. That simple step marked the beginning of what would soon become a full-time career.

Since its inception in 2014, Designs by KaraMarie has evolved from a hobby into a thriving jewelry brand. While hand-stamped pieces were where it all began, the collection has expanded to include laser-engraved designs, birthstone jewelry, customizable charm bars, and contemporary, on-trend pieces. Every item is thoughtfully crafted using high-quality materials such as cubic zirconia, freshwater pearls, Swarovski birthstones, and premium gold-plated components—creating timeless jewelry with a modern edge.

From the very beginning, I’ve been fortunate to have the support of my husband, Mike. He plays an integral role in the business, assisting with jewelry assembly, traveling with me to vendor shows, helping customers, and bringing my booth and display visions to life. From behind-the-scenes problem solving to hands-on setup, his support helps make every market and event run smoothly.

Today, Designs by KaraMarie is known not only for personalized, meaningful jewelry, but also for creating a memorable, boutique-style shopping experience.
